課程概述 |
台灣一向以「經濟奇蹟」與「政權和平轉型」為榮，但自1990年代台灣完成工業化與民主化之後面對到中國崛起與全球化帶來各種政治，經濟與社會的挑戰，讓許多人對台灣未來感到焦慮。這門課希望從比較政治經濟學的取向，與同學一起來探討，台灣政治經濟體制的特色與發展歷史，希望同學在修完這門課之後，能夠對相關問題發展出各自獨道的見解。 |

課程目標 |
這學期的課程安排將分成兩大個部分：一，老師指定閱讀，探討台灣政經發展歷史：（1）關於台灣經濟奇蹟的解釋；（2）關於台灣民主化的解釋；（3）中國崛起所帶來的衝擊；二，同學發現議題，探索當代重要政治現象，有兩個選擇：（1）請同學自行發展一個研究主題，進行期末口頭與書面報告，任何與當代台灣政經發展相關議題皆可，但必須具有比較視野，例如，「台灣為何成為亞洲第一個通過同婚的國家？」「台灣獨厚半導體發展的代價？」「『台女』是亞洲最受到公平對待的女性嗎？」「民主化真的讓社會弱勢群體（例如原住名或身心障礙者）得到比較平等的待遇嗎？」「為何台灣文創產業發展遠不如日韓？」等；（2）解釋「『柯粉現象』與民眾黨的崛起」，目前發現：2020投蔡英文與2024轉投柯的年輕選民統計上高度相關（王宏恩， 2024，在《報導者》、《端傳媒》文章），目前存在的假設：低薪、房價？烏克蘭戰爭？家庭政治立場？社交媒體？新保守主義？民進黨不懂政策溝通？民進黨老化？進行一個研究計畫或研究報告。 |

課程要求 |
(1) 選擇四週的指定閱讀寫memos（3頁以內，每週日午夜之前上傳NTU COOL作業區，逾期不收，40%）
(2) 選擇一週進行指定閱讀導讀。（導讀不得與memo重複，導讀該週上課前上傳PPT檔至NTU COOL作業區，20%）
(3) 期末報告 （05/13與老師討論、05/20、27口頭報告，06/03上傳繳交，40%）
